About Drs. Allen and Kelly Smudde
We are a husband and wife team. We were both born in Indiana, and we met in
Chicago at Northwestern University. Dr. Allen moved from Terre Haute, IN to
La Canada, CA when he was 10 years old, and Dr. Kelly grew up on a farm in
Valparaiso, IN. It was not until we were at our wedding reception on Dr.
Kelly's farm in Indiana that we realized that both of our fathers had a
mutual roommate while at Indiana University Dental School, and all were
reunited at our wedding. We both come from a long line of dentists in the
family. Dr. Allen's father and several family members are dentists, and Dr.
Kelly is a fourth generation dentist. We both started learning dentistry
from our earliest memories onward. We both spent many hours in our parents'
labs hand-sculpting teeth out of wax and hand making jewelry.
We are continually building upon the foundation of skills that we learned as
children so that we can provide you and your family the best dentistry has
to offer.
